Foam glass, also known as cellular glass or porous glass, is a type of insulating glass with a porosity exceeding 90%, composed of uniform pores. Due to its pore structure and the physical properties of borosilicate, it is used as an insulating material with characteristics such as being impermeable, non-combustible, non-deformable, non-deteriorating, and non-contaminating to food. Therefore, it is not only used as a non-combustible insulating material indoors and outdoors but also for food freezing, fermentation and brewing equipment, and floats for liquid level gauges. Foam glass is manufactured using the powder sintering method, where glass powder is mixed with a foaming agent, heated in a thermal container, expanded, and then annealed to produce the final product.
