I) Material Preparation
Industrial Grade Mold Silicone: Select industrial grade mold silicone with appropriate hardness and viscosity, typically within a hardness range of 15-20 Shore A. Generally, for creating detailed and complex artificial jade molds, soft silicone of 20-30 Shore A can be chosen to ensure the prototype is not damaged during demolding; if higher mold strength is required, silicone of 30-35 Shore A can be selected. Prepare an adequate amount of silicone based on the size of the mold to be made, along with the corresponding curing agent. The curing agent is usually added at a ratio of 1-3% of the silicone weight, with the specific proportion to be referred to in the product manual.

Prototype: Choose an artificial jade prototype for reproduction. The prototype surface should be smooth and flawless to ensure the quality of the final artificial jade product. It can be an existing exquisite jade model or one created through methods like 3D printing or hand carving.

Artificial Jade Material: Commonly used artificial jade materials include unsaturated resin and epoxy resin. Unsaturated resin is relatively low-cost and cures quickly but has a strong odor; epoxy resin offers better environmental performance, high transparency after curing, and strong hardness, and can be selected based on needs. Also, prepare auxiliary materials such as accelerators, curing agents, color pastes, and pearl powder. Color pastes are used to adjust the color of the artificial jade, while pearl powder enhances its luster and texture.

Demolding Agent: To prevent the silicone mold from adhering to the prototype, a demolding agent is necessary. Professional silicone demolding agents can be used, or common demolding materials like Vaseline or silicone oil may be applied. However, ensure even application to avoid affecting mold quality.
