General Usage Instructions

01 Cleaning:

For optimal adhesion, the bonding surface must be clean, dry, and in good condition. Typical surface cleaning solvents include isopropyl alcohol and water (with rubbing).

02 Pressure:

Bond strength depends on the contact area between the adhesive and the surface of the product being bonded. After application, use your hand to apply pressure to ensure better contact between the adhesive and the surface.

03 Temperature:

The ideal application temperature range for double-sided tape is 15°C to 38°C. It is not recommended to apply the tape to surfaces below 10°C, as the adhesive becomes too hard and difficult to adhere. In colder winter temperatures, if the tape does not feel very sticky, it is advisable to warm it with a heat gun or by baking before application for better results.

04 Time:

After application, allow some time for the tape to set. Unlike stationery double-sided tape, 3M double-sided tape may not feel very strong initially. The longer it remains adhered, the stronger the bond becomes. Optimal adhesion is achieved after 24 hours.

05 Storage:

3M double-sided tape should be stored in sealed packaging at 22°C and 50% relative humidity.
