The cleaning box is installed at the head of the conveyor belt and mainly consists of the box body, cleaner, pressure roller, spray device, drying device, cleaning device, discharge device, and liquid supply device. When the return belt passes through the cleaning box, the cleaning device sprays mist onto the working surface of the return belt. A specialized independent shock-absorbing dual-blade cleaner scrapes off the coal dust mixed with the mist, and then a polyurethane cleaner removes the remaining water. The scraped coal dust and water are discharged through a specially designed chute into the auxiliary chute at the head of the existing conveyor belt, entering the downstream belt. To ensure cleaning effectiveness, two sets of pressure rollers are installed at the top of the cleaning box, along with an air configuration to prevent excessive accumulation of scraped coal dust, which could cause material blockage. Additionally, to meet winter usage requirements, the liquid used in the cleaning box can be either water or antifreeze.

The implementation of the Meihuan cleaning box has shown significant cleaning results, markedly reducing coal accumulation at the conveyor belt head and lowering belt cleaning costs.

Introduction to the Conveyor Belt Cleaning Water Tank

The cleaning box (i.e., the conveyor belt washing device) is designed to remove materials adhering to the working surface of the conveyor belt, preventing material buildup on the lower rollers that could cause belt misalignment, spillage, dust generation, and hard-to-remove ground accumulations, thereby polluting the working environment.

Working Principle

The cleaning box consists of three parts: the spray system, cleaning system, and drying system. When the return belt enters the cleaning box, the idler and pressure rollers work together to ensure the cleaner scrapes material without shaking or damaging the belt. First, high-pressure water mist softens the caked material on the belt surface. The initial stage uses a softened tungsten steel cleaner to remove coarse material, the second stage employs a water-removing cleaner to scrape off moisture, and the third stage uses a fine material cleaner to remove residual fine powder. Finally, the belt is dried with room-temperature high-pressure air before exiting the box.

Water flows through a funnel into a small storage tank beside the machine and is continuously recirculated to the spray system via a frequency-conversion booster pump, saving significant manpower and resources while achieving the environmental goal of wastewater recycling and reuse.

5. Hopper spray system: Washes the discharge hopper to prevent scraped material from clogging the hopper.
