At a 10 kHz offset from the carrier center frequency, the R&S FSW achieves phase noise of -137 dBc (1 Hz) at 1 GHz center frequency and -128 dBc (1 Hz) at 10 GHz center frequency. At a 100 kHz offset, the phase noise is -110 dBc (1 Hz) and -90 dBc (1 Hz) at the same center frequencies, respectively. The R&S FSW surpasses previous-generation analyzers by up to 10 dB in phase noise performance.

* Low displayed average noise level for excellent spurious test dynamic range

The displayed average noise level (DANL) is as low as -159 dBm (1 Hz) at 2 GHz and -150 dBm (1 Hz) at 25 GHz without using a preamplifier. The R&S FSW provides fast and reliable spurious testing over a wide frequency range. The DANL can be further improved by 13 dB with the noise cancellation function enabled. Users can detect extremely small spurious signals previously hidden below the noise floor, effectively optimizing transmitter systems.

* Built-in high-pass filter simplifies harmonic testing

The R&S FSW can be optionally equipped with a switchable high-pass filter (R&S FSW-B13) for harmonic testing of transmitter systems up to 1.5 GHz. Compared to traditional spectrum analyzers, significant dynamic range improvement is achieved. No external filter is needed, making it convenient to set up test systems for GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, LTE, and TETRA systems.
