SEM1700 Intelligent Universal Signal Conditioner

The SEM1700 is a DIN rail-mounted universal signal conditioner from Status Instruments. It is designed to accept most common process and temperature sensor inputs, providing the user with programmable current or voltage output signals, along with dual relays featuring programmable delay functions. Isolation is provided between input, output, and power supply. All temperature ranges are linear with temperature. Input and output loop excitation are also provided, along with a comprehensive universal power supply.

Designed with ease of use in mind, it features a USB port for quick and easy configuration. Simply connect a standard USB cable between the SEM1700 and your PC. Further time savings are achieved through our free configuration software. During configuration, the SEM1700 Intelligent Universal Signal Conditioner does not require connection to a power supply, as it is powered via the PC's USB port.



Features

High Flexibility: The SEM1700 offers a wide range of input and output options (including two independent relays), combined with its configuration capabilities, making it an extremely flexible and versatile tool suitable for a variety of applications. The configuration software allows real-time readings to be displayed on a PC.

Universal Power Supply: Ranging from 20 VDC to 240 VAC and all voltages in between, this auto-sensing power supply is both simple and efficient, enabling the SEM1700 to operate with multiple power sources.

Inputs: Supports a wide variety of temperature sensors (RTD, T/C) and process inputs, with variable update rates to suit specific applications—for example, potentiometers may require faster update rates.

Outputs: The SEM1700 offers mA source and sink, as well as voltage output options, allowing integration into process control systems with standard analog signals. Two relay alarms provide additional functionality.

User-Friendly: Designed for simplicity and ease of use, it includes a universal power supply, 10 options, dual-component connectors, and intuitive, straightforward software. The SEM1700 also features front-panel buttons that can be assigned different functions based on application needs. The SEM1700 is a versatile temperature transmitter/signal conditioning unit.
