The oil-impregnated bearing (copper alloy bearing) of the KAKU fan (KA1238HA2S) is made by mixing metal powders in proportion, followed by high-temperature sintering and die-casting. It has a porous, sponge-like characteristic. The gaps are filled with oil, and when the bearing operates at high speed, the different melting points of the metals create internal gaps, releasing the oil to provide lubrication. ① Material: Generally, other brands use 663 copper powder, with an oil content of only up to 18%. KAKU uses 9-1 tin bronze (lead-free), with an oil content of at least 25%. ② Oil quality: Generally, other brands use #46 engine oil, which is only suitable for ordinary machinery, not long-lasting lubrication. It is prone to decomposition, oxidation, and carbon buildup, evaporates quickly at high temperatures, and freezes easily at low temperatures (-20°C to 120°C). KAKU uses imported Eagle brand specialized oil for oil-impregnated bearings from Spain. This oil is a non-Newtonian synthetic grease specifically developed for long-lasting lubrication in oil-impregnated bearings. Its viscosity increases or decreases with shear stress and is unaffected by gravity. It is less prone to oil leakage (-50°C to 180°C). Additionally, the traditional method of injecting oil into oil-impregnated bearings is manual injection—uneven and unable to guarantee oil content. KAKU uses automated machine oil injection for 1.8 seconds, ensuring each oil-impregnated bearing achieves an oil content of around 65%. ③ Bearing shape: Traditionally, it is a solid cylinder with a rectangular longitudinal cross-section. Ours has an "I"-shaped longitudinal cross-section, meaning an oil storage area is added inside the bearing, increasing the oil content. This extends the fan's service life.
