SF6 gas density relays in field operation often experience issues such as inflexible operation and poor contact of the contacts due to infrequent activation over time. Some may also exhibit degraded temperature compensation performance, leading to misoperation of the SF6 density relay during sudden changes in ambient temperature. Therefore, DL/T596-2005 "Preventive Test Code for Electric Power Equipment" stipulates that all users of SF6 circuit breakers should regularly calibrate the SF6 gas density relay.
