Working Principle of Chenqiong Electronic Radar Level Gauge

     Radar level gauges operate based on the echo ranging principle. Their horn or rod-shaped antennas emit microwaves toward the measured material surface. When microwaves propagate to the material surface with different relative dielectric constants, they are reflected and received by the antenna. The time difference between the transmitted and received waves is proportional to the distance between the material surface and the antenna. By measuring the propagation time, the distance can be determined. Based on the waveform of the microwaves used, radar level gauges can be classified into frequency-modulated continuous wave radar level gauges and pulsed wave radar level gauges.
