ESS provides a wide range of highly specialized analytical systems for the brewing industry. These specially designed systems detect extremely low levels of impurities in CO2 gas used in the bottling or canning industry.
Gas faults are mainly divided into two categories:
Chemical gases: Ammonium nitrate or PET, gases generated as waste in the production process. The main components of this type of gas are: benzene, 1-3 butadiene, methanol, xylene, styrene, and other VOCs.
Recycled gas: This gas is recovered from the fermentation process and filtered to remove alcohols. It mainly consists of high concentrations of alcohols and aromatic compounds produced during the brewing process.
This analytical system consists of an online TD/MS coupled with a direct mass spectrometry system for analyzing ultra-low concentration components. Using dedicated software, it provides a simple user interface with concentration threshold alarms for all analytes and each sample point. The purpose is to analyze incoming CO2 before use and monitor the saturation breakthrough value of filters in the recycling treatment process.
