Based on extensive research and experimentation, our company, Shaanxi Weinan Fandeliboiler Plant, has developed the first retrofit for blue-coke boilers. This innovation not only addresses the issues of ignition and complete combustion of blue coke but also offers a series of advantages, including high thermal efficiency and low emissions of SO?, NOx, and soot. It represents a new generation of energy-saving and environmentally friendly products in China. The introduction of specialized blue-coke boilers has completely resolved the issue of industrial boilers lacking low-cost clean fuel options. This technology has already been granted multiple national patents. In recent years, in response to the severe challenges of air pollution control, our company has developed a fully intelligent series of boilers suitable for blue-coke briquettes and blue-coke pellets, based on the combustion characteristics of blue coke. Tests and inspections have confirmed that both thermal performance and environmental indicators meet national and industry standards. Experts believe that coal accounts for approximately 70% of China's primary energy structure, and it is difficult to significantly increase the proportion of alternative energy sources in the short term. Therefore, the clean utilization of coal is an essential pathway for current air pollution prevention. Promoting the use of blue coke in small-scale boilers is one of the effective measures to control atmospheric pollutant emissions in China. According to the "Comparative Analysis Report on Emission Factors of Civil Combustion of Yulin Blue Coke and Raw Coal" released by the Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the emission factors of blue coke are very low, close to or even better than those of high-quality anthracite. Using blue coke for civil and direct decentralized coal consumption not only offers excellent substitutability but also delivers significant haze reduction effects, reducing primary PM2.5 emissions by nearly 80%. The rectification plan for coal-fired boilers above 20 tons, announced before October 31, 2016, includes four options: 1. Grid connection: Prioritize grid connection for boilers that meet the conditions. 2. Natural gas: Prioritize the use of natural gas where pipeline networks are available. 3. Add desulfurization and denitrification equipment: Install desulfurization and denitrification equipment without replacing the coal-fired boiler. 4. Blue coke: Retrofit coal-fired boilers to use the clean energy source—blue coke. Industry experts suggest that among these four options, boilers eligible for grid connection should be prioritized for grid connection. For boilers that cannot be connected to the grid, retrofitting coal-fired boilers to blue-coke boilers will be the preferred choice. This solution significantly reduces equipment investment costs, greatly lowers boiler operating expenses, and fully complies with environmental emission standards.
