Babbitt alloy structure consists of hard phase particles uniformly distributed in a soft matrix or soft phase particles uniformly distributed in a hard matrix. Babbitt alloy exhibits excellent wear resistance and anti-friction properties, with certain compressive strength and hardness, sufficient fatigue strength and load-bearing capacity. It has good plasticity and impact resistance, excellent anti-seizure properties, good conformity, effective embeddability, as well as high thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and a low coefficient of thermal expansion.




Tin-based alloys: Tin-based alloys are tin-antimony-copper alloys. They have a low friction coefficient, moderate hardness, good toughness, and excellent running-in characteristics, corrosion resistance, and thermal conductivity. They are primarily used for bearing bushes operating under high-speed and heavy-load conditions.
Tin-based alloy composition: The main components of tin-based bearing alloys are tin, lead, antimony, and copper. Among these, antimony and copper are used to enhance the strength and hardness of the alloy. Common grades of tin-based alloys include 11-6, 4-4, 7.5-3, 12-3-10, 8-4, 12-4-10, 8-8, 10-6, etc. These alloys are used to manufacture bearing bushes, bushings, and liners for mechanical sliding bearings. They are mainly applied in bearing bushes for various models of ball mills in building material machinery; papermaking machinery such as beaters and dryer cylinder bearing bushes; bearing bushes for turbines in hydropower equipment; bearing bushes for ship machinery propellers; and bearing bushes for compressors, crushers, and rolling mills. They are also used in elevator sling fittings
fastening; mechanical seals, alloy cushion cast blocks for machine tools, and other applications; spherical bearing bushes for ball mill equipment in cement plants, bearing bushes for compression machinery, chemical machinery, petroleum machinery, and bearing bushes for other large-scale mechanical equipment.
