Electrical pure iron, also known as industrial pure iron, is a high-quality steel with an iron content of over 99.5%. It is a type of low-carbon, low-sulfur, and low-phosphorus iron.

Concepts that need to be distinguished are:

1. Pure iron: Refers to steel with an iron content close to 100%, which is a very soft metal.

2. Pig iron: Contains a carbon content of 3.5% to 5.5%.

3. Industrial pure iron: Its chemical composition is mainly iron, with a content ranging from 99.50% to 99.90%, and the carbon content in the iron is below 0.04%.

4. Steel: A general term for all iron and iron alloys, typically with a relatively high carbon content. Based on carbon content, it can be classified into high-carbon steel, medium-carbon steel, and low-carbon steel.

From the above, it can be seen that the main difference between pure iron, pig iron, and steel lies in the carbon content in the iron.

Industrial pure iron is a type of steel. Its chemical composition is mainly iron, with a carbon content below 0.04%, and the fewer other elements, the better. Since it is not truly pure iron, this type of steel, which is close to pure iron, is referred to as industrial pure iron.

There are two common specifications:

One is used as deep-drawing material, capable of being stamped into extremely complex shapes;

The other is used as electromagnetic material, featuring high magnetic permeability and low coercivity. It is widely used in electronic and electrical applications, electrical components, magnetic materials, amorphous products, relays, sensors, automotive brakes, textile machinery, electric meters, solenoid valves, and other products.
