1. Product Use and Performance Characteristics

H52-60 Epoxy Rust-Tolerant Anti-Corrosion Coating is a new type of anti-corrosion primer suitable for various steel structures and facilities. It is a high-solids coating composed mainly of epoxy resin as the film-forming substance, along with penetrants, rust converters, and various efficient anti-rust pigments. It offers excellent anti-corrosion performance and is a novel primer that can be applied over rust (rust layer thickness < 50μm). It overcomes the limitation of epoxy coatings typically requiring high levels of rust removal, allowing application over rust and simplifying the coating process. This coating is widely used in anti-corrosion projects and can be paired with various topcoats.

H52-60 Epoxy Rust-Tolerant Anti-Corrosion Coating can be used on metal surfaces that have been sandblasted, as well as on surfaces cleaned by hand or with small pneumatic tools. It is suitable for steel facilities such as chemical equipment, oil tankers, and oil pipelines, and also for metal protection under special conditions, such as hull, deck anti-rust paint, and engine room floor paint.

4. Mixing Ratio and Packaging

The mixing ratio of the components of this coating is determined through research and extensive testing. For convenience, the product is packaged in proportional sets when leaving the factory.

5. Application Methods and Precautions

1) Surface Preparation

To enhance the anti-corrosion effect of the coating, before painting, remove oil, dirt, scale, loose rust, and old non-epoxy paint films from the substrate surface. If the rust layer is less than 50μm thick, it can be painted directly. The cleaned surface should be painted promptly to prevent re-rusting.

2) Mixing the Paint

Thoroughly stir the paint before use. After stirring evenly, pour component B into component A and mix well before application. If a smaller amount of paint is needed, mix components A and B in proportion.

3) Painting

Application can be done by brushing, rolling, or spraying. If thinning is required, use the dedicated thinner. During application, strive for an even coating thickness without misses or runs, achieving the specified thickness. Under normal temperature conditions, a second coat can be applied every 4 hours.

6. Precautions:

(1) The shelf life of the coating is 1.5 years. If exceeded, performance indicators should be tested; if qualified, it can still be used.

(2) The coating contains organic solvents. The construction site must be well-ventilated, open flames are strictly prohibited, and explosion-proof lighting should be used. Open flames are strictly prohibited.

(3) Store the coating in a cool, ventilated, and dry place.
