I. Purpose

The number of wheat ears is a key factor in determining wheat yield. Rapid and accurate counting of ears is beneficial for high-yield cultivation and selective breeding of superior varieties. However, manual field surveys are subjective, time-consuming, and labor-intensive. The Wanshen SC-MS Wheat Ears per Mu Measurement and Analysis System uses deep learning AI image recognition technology. By simply taking a photo perpendicular to the wheat field (with four balls positioned near the long edges of the field of view) and focusing on the wheat in any manner, the system can quickly and accurately calculate the number of ears per mu during the flowering, grain-filling, and semi-mature stages of wheat, thereby improving work efficiency. It is widely applicable to wheat breeding programs in agricultural academies, seed stations, breeding companies, and educational institutions.

II. Main Technical Specifications

1. The height-adjustable four-ball area calibration component is lightweight, portable, and provides stable support.

2. ★ The center-to-center spacing of the area calibration component rods can be switched between 780mm and 1100mm (to enable cross-validation of counting results). The calibration height is adjustable between 580mm and 1500mm.

3. ★ Photos taken with an authorized Android smartphone can be directly analyzed, and the shooting angle is automatically corrected to avoid distortion errors.

4. ★ Features occlusion rate compensation, with an error rate of less than ±4% in counting wheat ears during the flowering, grain-filling, and semi-mature stages. Images can be zoomed for review and manually corrected to achieve 100% accuracy in ear counting.

5. Supports batch processing for intelligently counting the number of wheat ears within the photographed area, calculating the average number of ears, and automatically estimating the number of ears per mu based on the calibrated area.

6. Automatically generates and exports reports in Excel format, supporting further data filtering, editing, and sharing.
