The drum structure includes steel plate coiled drum welding and cast construction, with a rubber covering or ceramic rubber plate layer on the steel surface. The drive drum needs to be covered with a ceramic rubber plate, whose main function is to increase the friction coefficient between the drive drum and the belt, thereby driving the continuous operation of the belt. The purpose of covering the return drum, tail drum, tension drum, and belt support drum with rubber is mainly to protect the drum body from wear and extend the service life of the drum. The drive drum covered with ceramic rubber plate requires sufficient friction, and the friction coefficient of the ceramic rubber plate is relatively high. The higher the wear resistance of the drum covering, the longer the service life of the drum.The traditional practice for belt conveyor drums is to cover the metal surface with rubber or polyurethane material. The main function of covering the drive drum with rubber is to increase the friction coefficient with the belt and maintain sufficient driving force. The main function of covering with ceramic rubber plate is to extend the service life of the drum.

Usage of diamond rubber plate:

1: Use a rubber scraping machine to remove the original residual and waste rubber from the drum.

2: Use a special grinder/resin grinding disc to grind the metal drum surface to a rough, rust-free state, then lightly grind again with a fiber disc. Clean with a brush, and then use a special cleaning agent for cleaning. (If there is water on the surface before cleaning, dry it with an iodine-tungsten lamp.) Apply metal treatment agent thinly and evenly on the ground drum surface and let it dry completely.

3: Thoroughly mix the curing agent in a specific ratio, apply the glue forcefully and evenly on the drum surface once, and let it dry. This layer of glue must be completely dry to the point of not sticking to the hand.

4: Apply the glue on the drum surface for the second time, and at the same time, remove the protective film of the wear-resistant rubber plate and apply glue once on the CN layer of the rubber plate.

5: When the glue is dry to a slightly sticky state but does not stick to the back of the finger, proceed with pasting. First, use a 45mm compaction roller to roll and press, then use a 12/4mm compaction roller to roll and press, and finally, use a rubber hammer to strike forcefully. 6: Trim the joints and edges.

Each diamond rubber plate has grooves at certain intervals, which allow foreign matter (dust, mud) on the drum to be discharged along the grooves, giving the drum a unique self-cleaning function, especially suitable for humid working environments.
