Thermally Induced Cationic Latent Epoxy Curing Agent as a Replacement for CXC1612

Product Description

JTN 2025  is an imidazole-modified latent curing agent with high thermal stability. Once the system temperature exceeds the critical decomposition temperature of JTN 2025, it rapidly initiates the polymerization of epoxy compounds, vinyl ethers, lactones, acetals, and cyclic ethers. It does not alter the Tg, flexibility, weather resistance, or other properties of the epoxy resin.

JTN 2025  has a critical thermal initiation temperature of 70°C for phenyl glycidyl ether (CAS: 122-60-1), giving it excellent thermal stability. Its structure features a long alkyl chain, providing outstanding solubility and dispersion capabilities. It can be dissolved in propylene carbonate, acetone, or ethyl acetate. It is non-yellowing, stable when dry, and non-flammable. The recommended formulation addition is 0.5% to 3% of the total resin content.

JTN 2025  is widely used in epoxy adhesives, electronic adhesives, electromagnetic adhesives, composite carbon fiber prepregs, powder coatings, inks, castings, and other composite materials.

Product Characteristics (Test Conditions: Cycloaliphatic Epoxy Resin 2021P + JTN 2025 2%)

1. The curing agent begins ring-opening reactions with epoxy groups at temperatures above 80°C, with a curing time of approximately 120 minutes.

2. Curing can be achieved by heating at 85°C for 1 hour.

3. Curing can be achieved by heating at 100°C for half an hour.

Note:

1. If bisphenol A epoxy resin is used, the reaction time needs to be extended.

2. After formulating into glue, paint, or ink products, store at -20°C for up to six months; storage at room temperature is approximately 1-2 days.

The curing agent has a shelf life of one year. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area or under low-temperature refrigeration. Avoid moisture and physical impact.
