The shape of ceramic Intalox saddles lies between that of rings and saddles, thus combining the advantages of both. This structure facilitates liquid distribution and increases gas flow channels. Compared to Pall rings, they offer lower resistance, higher throughput, improved efficiency, and better packing strength and rigidity, making them a widely used type of random packing.

Due to their high density, excellent acid and heat resistance, and resistance to various inorganic acids (except hydrofluoric acid), organic acids, and solvent corrosion, they can be used in drying towers, absorption towers, cooling towers, scrubbers, and regeneration towers in industries such as chemical, metallurgy, gas, and environmental protection.
