1.1 Instrument Features The KODIN 3A-MC series coating thickness gauge is an intelligent inspection terminal developed by KODIN Instrument based on internet technology. This instrument, operating on the Android system, can customize various professional inspection solutions according to on-site operations and industry standards. It is equipped with wireless communication capabilities, enabling remote audio and video data interaction. The instrument supports remote expert diagnosis and remote data inspection functions. Incorporating industrial design concepts, the housing is designed ergonomically to align with industrial on-site operating habits. The housing protection features waterproof, dustproof, and drop-resistant designs, making it suitable for various complex industrial environments. 1.2 Working Principle The KODIN 3A-MC series coating thickness gauge can be equipped with different probes. The Fe probe uses the magnetic induction method to measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on ferromagnetic materials, while the NFe probe uses the eddy current method to measure the thickness of non-conductive coatings on conductive metals. 1.3 Application Scope Depending on the probe type, the instrument can conveniently and non-destructively measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on ferromagnetic materials (magnetic probe) or the thickness of non-conductive coatings on conductive substrates (non-magnetic probe). The instrument is widely used in industries such as machinery, automotive, shipbuilding, petroleum, chemical, electroplating, spray coating, enamel, and plastics. 1.4 Main Functions (1) Standard Mode. Displays only basic measurement data information, meeting the most fundamental measurement needs of users. (2) Chart Mode. Allows setting upper and lower limit alarm values. If measurement data exceeds the limits, the on-screen numerical display turns red to indicate an alarm. Users can also view maximum, minimum, average, and standard deviation values. Measurement data can be stored locally. (3) Report Mode. This mode allows capturing on-site photos of workpieces and incorporating them into reports. Reports can perform statistical analysis on measurement data and generate reports. Data can be grouped and managed during measurement. Users can store measurement data locally. (4) Video Mode. In this mode, users can record on-site videos while measuring for situational documentation. After recording, users can save the measurement audio and video locally. (5) Statistical Mode. Statistical mode is a more flexible measurement mode, allowing users to add remarks to specific measurement values or continue measuring unfinished projects from previous sessions. (6) Data Management. Data saved under different measurement modes can be viewed in the "Data" menu. A project includes video, reports, and measurement values. Chart mode and report mode do not include video data. All stored measurement data, recorded videos, and test reports can be saved locally. The device uses EMMC data storage with expandable capacity to meet various data storage needs. (7) KODIN Data Sharing Platform.
