Marine Search and Rescue Radar Transponder CY-SART

The Search and Rescue Radar Transponder (SART) is a key device in the GMDSS system used for close-range location of distressed vessels, lifeboats, life rafts, and survivors. SART is equipment deployed at distress scenes to guide search and rescue aircraft or vessels to quickly locate those in peril. It also alerts survivors carrying the SART when rescue aircraft or ships are approaching.

AIS-SART is a lifesaving device capable of transmitting distress position, status, safety, and other information. The transmitted information is compatible with existing AIS systems; regularly broadcast information can be identified and displayed by auxiliary units within the AIS-SART's operational range. It consists of a GNSS receiver, AIS transmitter, lithium battery, and control unit. It offers significant advantages such as low power consumption, long operational time, high positioning accuracy, long range, and no blind spots.
