DS2008 Marine Split-Type Navigation Echo Sounder

The DS2008 echo sounder uses ultrasonic pulses to detect the seabed and underwater objects. The display unit includes all basic circuits and logic processors. Electrical pulses are converted into acoustic energy in the transducer mounted on the hull. The processor measures the travel time of the pulse between the seabed and the transducer, displaying water depth in both graphical and textual forms.

The Ninglu Marine Navigation Echo Sounder DS2008 transmits and receives ultrasonic waves through an ultrasonic transducer. Based on the speed of sound in seawater and the round-trip time, it calculates the distance from the seabed or underwater target to the transducer surface, then adds the correction value for the vessel's draft to determine the seabed depth.
The transducer paired with the DS2008 echo sounder continuously emits ultrasonic waves. The navigation echo sounder system runs seabed depth calculation software while recording each received echo data, displaying the echo information on the far right of the LCD screen. Repeating this process continuously forms a continuously shifting leftward depth display on the screen. The top horizontal line represents the transmitted wave, followed by possible fish schools or debris in the water, and below that is the seabed echo. Echoes appearing at two seabed depths are secondary echoes, and there may even be tertiary or higher-order echoes. The harder the seabed, the stronger the reflected echo, the thicker the echo, and the more likely multiple echoes will appear.
