A T:R=50:50 beamsplitter is an optical component that splits incident light into 50% transmission and 50% reflection. Ming Yuan Optoelectronics produces beamsplitters with various splitting ratios, commonly including T:R=70:30, T:R=80:20, T:R=60:40, etc. Custom sizes and adjusted splitting ratios are also available according to customer requirements.

Beamsplitters typically have an incident angle of 45° and come in two coating types: single-sided and double-sided. In applications such as coaxial lighting, machine vision, and microscopic imaging, double-sided coating (one side with anti-reflection coating, the other with beamsplitting coating) is often used to reduce interference effects between beams and minimize ghosting.
