Their optical characteristic is to block light in the relatively shorter wavelength range while transmitting light in the longer wavelength range. They belong to a type of cutoff filters. The LP510nm long-pass filter has a peak transmittance of 50% at 510nm, with transmittance T > 94% from 525-1100nm and T < 0.01% (cutoff OD4) from 200-490nm.
