Product Introduction

A gas washing bottle is an instrument used to remove impurities from gases. It works by passing impure gas through a selected suitable liquid medium for bubble absorption (dissolution or through chemical reactions), thereby washing away impurity gases to achieve gas purification. In experimental setups with combustible gas sources, the gas washing bottle can also serve as a safety bottle.

The gas washing bottle should not be used to store alkaline liquid cleaning agents for extended periods. After use, promptly pour the cleaning agent into a reagent bottle with a rubber stopper for storage, rinse the bottle with water, and place it properly. This bottle can also be used to collect gases and measure gas volume.

Generally, the long tube is for gas inlet, and the short tube is for gas outlet. The long tube is used for gases denser than air, while the short tube is used for gases less dense than air.

Using the upward displacement of air method indicates that the collected gas is denser than air. Inlet through the long tube and outlet through the short tube allows the collected gas to push the air out. If gas enters through the short tube and exits through the long tube, the collected gas will escape directly from the long tube.
