Introduction to Incoloy 800H Material

Incoloy 800H is an austenitic heat-resistant alloy widely used in high-temperature pressure-bearing structural components. Incoloy 800H is resistant to many corrosive media. Its high nickel content provides excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in aqueous corrosion conditions. The high chromium content enhances its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. This alloy offers good resistance to nitric acid and organic acids but has limited corrosion resistance in sulfuric and hydrochloric acids. Except for potential pitting in halides, it exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts. It also demonstrates good corrosion resistance in water, steam, and mixtures of steam, air, and carbon dioxide.

Available in various specifications including plates, bars, strips, wires, discs, ring blanks, and ring forgings. Bars are supplied in hot-rolled or forged condition, with surfaces ground or turned; discs and ring blanks are supplied in forged condition; rings are supplied in solution-treated condition; plates are supplied after solution treatment, alkali-acid pickling, straightening, and edge trimming; strips are delivered cold-rolled, solution-treated, and descaled; wires are supplied in solution-pickled coils or straight lengths, or in solution-treated straight lengths with fine grinding.
