Huairou Greening Lawn

The Poaceae Poa pratensis lawn is a perennial herbaceous plant. It has slender rhizomes, tufted culms, and is smooth. The leaf blades are linear and soft. It has a panicle inflorescence. The seeds are small. It thrives in both sunlight and shade, prefers warm and moist conditions, and has strong cold resistance, surviving extreme temperatures as low as -27°C in cold regions of northern China. Its drought resistance is relatively poor; growth slows or stagnates during water shortages or hot summers. It grows luxuriantly in spring and autumn. It performs well in well-drained, fertile wetland soils, with strong rhizome reproductive capacity and good regeneration. It is relatively tolerant of trampling. The rhizomes have strong spreading ability. With a long life cycle and strong adaptability, it has an extended green period. It is excellent for mixed seed sowing and is a primary cultivar for mixed lawns. It is also an attractive hardy turfgrass, widely used for constructing lawns in parks, institutions, schools, factories, hospitals, sanatoriums, residential areas, sports fields, and more.
