The 3XC side-entry or top-entry triple-offset "C" ball valve is a uniquely designed "multi-hybrid" valve that integrates the advantages of numerous valve designs while eliminating their weaknesses to meet the reliability and safety requirements of harsh working conditions.
In LNG, lithium batteries, and hydrogen energy applications, Qigao's 3XC side-entry or top-entry triple-offset "C" ball valve offers technical advantages over traditional ball valve technology:
1. Qigao's 3XC triple-offset "C" ball valve utilizes torque sealing, with sealing force derived from the handle, gearbox, or actuator, independent of springs or medium pressure, ensuring more reliable sealing and a higher sealing class;
2. The 3XC features an open flow path with no cavity dead zones or valve cavity traps, eliminating the need for special pressure relief and fundamentally eliminating hazards caused by residual media in the valve cavity;
3. During the opening and closing process, the C-ball and valve seat do not contact each other, resulting in no friction. The C-ball self-cleans the valve seat surface, removing wear caused by welding slag and pipeline debris, thereby extending the valve's service life;
4. The fully encapsulated PCTFE or uniquely designed hard-seal convex valve seat and C-ball feature a convex-to-convex geometric pairing, combined with torque sealing, achieving breakthrough lower leakage rates;
5. The valve seat is fixed to the valve body, with a static flexible graphite seal between the valve seat and valve body. There are no springs or lip seals behind the valve seat, enabling true bidirectional zero leakage;
6. The 3XC can be directly welded to process pipelines without the need for welding spools. The DC-S valve seat ensures that the valve seat temperature remains below 1300°C during welding, preventing damage to the valve seat and significantly reducing costs;
7. The 3XC features a top-entry or side-entry fixed ball design, with the upper and lower support shafts integrally cast with the C-ball, making it more suitable for high-pressure, large-diameter, and heavy-duty working conditions;
8. The 3XC is inherently designed to be anti-static, with Nitronic 60 used for the bushings of the upper and lower support shafts, making it suitable for hydrostatic testing. The valve body does not require a bottom drain port, ensuring safe and efficient pressure testing;
9. Compared to traditional top-entry ball valves, the 3XC reduces weight by one-third and decreases the top flange size by 40%;
10. The bidirectional leakage rate test standard for the 3XC is one-tenth of the BS6364 standard;
