It operates by monitoring changes in gas pressure and temperature inside pipelines or equipment to detect potential explosion or fire hazards. If a threat is confirmed, the device immediately closes the equipment or pipeline while releasing pressure to safeguard both machinery and personnel.

Cyclone Separator Explosion Vent Valve (Flame-Free Venting Device)Working Principle:

The flame-free venting device consists of two parts—an explosion vent panel and a flame extinguishing module. The explosion vent panel responds rapidly to rising deflagration pressure, opening immediately to reduce pressure. When the expanding fireball passes through the open vent panel, it is intercepted by the flame extinguishing module. The stainless steel precision mesh, supported by a frame, acts as a three-dimensional flame trap, extinguishing the flame to prevent propagation and avoid secondary or multiple explosions. The extinguishing module eliminates deflagration flames, reduces hot gas temperature, and captures both burning and unburned dust passing through the open vent panel.

Simultaneously, pressure waves or noise generated by production equipment are minimized. As flames pass through the mesh flame arrestor, heat exchange occurs between the arrestor and the flame, rapidly cooling the high-temperature flame, venting pressure and smoke, while also reducing pressure waves or noise from production equipment.

With increasingly stringent environmental inspections, safety has become a major concern. In the past, explosion vent panels were commonly installed on dust collectors to release overpressure caused by dust explosions. However, installing such devices indoors is not permitted by safety regulations as it endangers nearby personnel and equipment. The pressure waves and flames from explosions could trigger secondary or multiple explosions, posing risks. Therefore, relying solely on explosion vent panels for dust collectors is unreliable. We recommend using flame-free venting + isolation technology (a cost-effective solution) or suppression + isolation technology to ensure production safety.

There are three main methods for dust explosion protection: venting, isolation, and suppression.

Venting: Releases explosion pressure in advance through a pressure relief device to protect equipment from damage.

Isolation: Uses an isolation valve to block the explosion and prevent flame propagation.

Suppression: Detection devices identify sparks and trigger fire suppression systems to instantly extinguish flames, preventing explosions.
