There are three main methods for dust explosion protection: venting, isolation, and suppression.
Venting: Releases explosion pressure in advance through a pressure relief device to protect equipment from damage.
Isolation: Blocks the explosion using an isolation valve to prevent flame propagation.
Suppression: Detection devices identify sparks and trigger fire suppression systems to instantly extinguish flames, preventing explosions.

Explosion vent panels are widely used in industries such as grain, metallurgy, chemicals, power, light industry, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, machining, and solid waste treatment. They are applied in equipment like cyclone separators, baghouse dust collectors, dust collectors, cartridge filters, pneumatic conveying systems, rod or ball mills, bucket elevators, dryers and ovens, roller mills, and buildings. In the past, explosion vent panels were commonly installed on dust collectors to release overpressure caused by dust explosions. However, installing such devices indoors is not permitted by safety regulations because it endangers nearby personnel and equipment. The pressure waves and flames from explosions may cause secondary or multiple explosions, posing greater risks. Therefore, relying solely on explosion vent panels for dust collectors is not reliable. We recommend using flame-free explosion venting + isolation technology (a more economical solution) or suppression + isolation technology to ensure production safety.
