20mm thick inorganic thermal insulation mortar is a commonly used building material, primarily for plastering interior and exterior walls of buildings. It features excellent thermal insulation properties and ease of construction. It is categorized into cement-based and gypsum-based types, depending on the binding material used.

Construction Method

Substrate preparation: Ensure the substrate surface is clean, free of dust, oil, and any debris that may affect adhesion.

Wetting treatment: In hot weather or when the substrate is dry, wet the substrate with water to achieve internal moisture and external dryness, with no visible water on the surface.

Interface agent application: Use a specialized interface agent for the insulation system, mix it uniformly at a water-cement ratio of 1:4, and apply it to the substrate in a zigzag pattern. Spraying methods can also be used.

Inorganic thermal insulation mortar application: Mix into a slurry at a water-cement ratio of 4:5.5, ensuring uniformity without powder clumps. Apply according to energy-saving requirements; for thicknesses above 2cm, apply in multiple layers with intervals of at least 24 hours between applications. Spraying methods can also be used.

Curing: After application, cure for 3-5 days (depending on temperature).

Waterproofing treatment: After curing the insulation mortar, it is recommended to apply two coats of SB-1 waterproofing agent.

Protective layer application: The protective layer for the insulation mortar can be applied 4 hours after the second coat of waterproofing agent, followed by 2 days of curing.
