New Release Agent

New release agents are categorized into external and internal types. An external release agent is a coating applied to the mold surface to facilitate the easy removal of the product during molding. An ideal release agent should possess good thermal and chemical stability, not corrode the mold, leave no residue on the mold surface, provide the product with a good appearance, and not affect its color, adhesion, or paintability. It should also minimize mold cleaning time, be non-toxic, safe, easy to operate, and cost-effective. This technology provides a new release agent and its applications.

This new release agent is primarily used for demolding polyurethane products after casting, offering excellent release effects for most polyurethane moldings. Its characteristics include using water as the dispersion phase, forming a water-soluble substance that not only functions as a release agent for polyurethane foam but is also biodegradable, producing no harmful substances such as VOCs, making it highly environmentally friendly. Moreover, water serves as a diluent, which is non-polluting, readily available, and low-cost.

Precautions for Using the New Release Agent
1. Dilute with water (dilution ratio 3-10 times as appropriate) and mix evenly. The dilution ratio can be adjusted based on on-site requirements, and diluted solution should be used up as much as possible in one go.
2. Apply using a spray gun or roller brush. Allow the mold coated with the new release agent to dry completely before pouring concrete.
3. Clean the template or mold surface thoroughly before application.
4. Store at room temperature, protect from freezing and direct sunlight. After opening, ensure the container is sealed and stored properly.
5. Avoid application during rainy conditions. If rain washes away the freshly applied coating, reapply before proceeding with construction.
6. Packaging specification: 50KG drum.

The mixing ratio of the new release agent to water typically ranges from 1:3 to 1:10, and the specific ratio can be adjusted based on actual needs. For example, depending on the complexity of the casting and on-site conditions, the dilution ratio can be flexibly adjusted. Generally, the more complex the casting, the lower the dilution ratio.

The main components of the new release agent include wax, stearic acid, vegetable oil, co-emulsifiers, potassium hydroxide, etc., produced through heating, melting, and emulsification processes. It is characterized by safe operation, minimal environmental pollution, low harm to human health, excellent release performance, and biodegradability.

When using the new release agent, it is recommended to dilute it with tap water and stir. Determine the appropriate dilution ratio based on the complexity of the casting and on-site conditions. For complex castings, it is advisable to spray a uniform layer of diluted solution onto the mold after each demolding to ensure easy release during the next casting.
