1.5 cm Wide PTFE Thread Seal Tape

Thread seal tape, also known as PTFE tape, is made of polytetrafluoroethylene, which is the polymer of tetrafluoroethylene, abbreviated as PTFE in English.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (F4, PTFE) possesses a series of excellent performance characteristics: high-temperature resistance—long-term use temperature of 200~260°C, low-temperature resistance—remains flexible at -100°C; corrosion resistance—resistant to aqua regia and all organic solvents; weather resistance—extremely long aging life among plastics; high lubricity—has the smallest friction coefficient (0.04) among plastics; non-stick properties—has the smallest surface tension among solid materials and does not adhere to any substance; non-toxicity—physiologically inert; excellent electrical properties, making it an ideal Class C insulating material. PTFE materials are widely used in important sectors such as national defense and military, atomic energy, petroleum, radio, electrical machinery, and chemical industries.

Insulation: Unaffected by environment and frequency, volume resistivity can reach 10^18 ohm·cm, with low dielectric loss and high breakdown voltage.

Self-lubrication: Has the smallest friction coefficient among plastics, making it an ideal non-oil lubricating material.

Non-stick surface: No known solid material can adhere to its surface, making it a solid material with the smallest surface energy.

Chemical corrosion resistance and weather resistance: PTFE is almost impervious to any chemical reagent except molten alkali metals. PTFE does not absorb moisture, is non-flammable, and is highly stable to oxygen and ultraviolet light, giving it excellent weather resistance.
