I. Scope of Application:

If acid sludge does not settle quickly after acid washing of oil products, the oil may oxidize and turn black. In some cases, acid sludge remains suspended in the oil and cannot be separated. This settling agent is used for the separation of acid sludge after acid washing and refining of oil products. When added to the oil, it primarily combines with the acid to form larger molecules, enabling rapid sedimentation of gums. It causes the oil-soluble impurities generated during the acid washing and refining process to quickly coagulate and settle, improving the color of the oil after acid washing.

II. Method of Use:

After acid washing the oil, add this settling agent to the acid-oil mixture under stirring conditions. Continue stirring after addition to promote rapid coagulation and sedimentation of oxides, enabling quick separation of acid sludge from the oil. Alternatively, after acid washing, let the mixture stand, discard most of the acid sludge, and then add the precipitating agent with stirring. After treatment with the agent, the acid sludge turns into a semi-solid viscous substance, separates from the oil, and improves in color. Advantages of using this product: clear separation of oil and sludge, reduced oil consumption, shortened sedimentation time, improved production efficiency, and better oil color.
