This product is monoclinic crystal, appearing as white powder, fine granular crystals, or spherical beads. It is used as a raw material in the production of electron tubes, television picture tubes, and computer monitor glass shells. When used in optical glass production, it enhances transparency, strength, and refractive index. It is also employed in the production of welding rods to prevent arc interruption during welding. It serves as a raw material for food additives such as potassium sorbate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate. It can be used as a foliar fertilizer or as an ingredient in compound fertilizers. Additionally, it is utilized in the production of vat dyes and for the whitening effect in ice dyeing. It acts as an absorbent for removing hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. When mixed with soda ash, it functions as a dry powder fire extinguishing agent. It is also used as an auxiliary raw material in the production of acetone and alcohol, and as an anti-aging agent in rubber production. Its aqueous solution can be used for scouring cotton fabrics and degreasing wool. Furthermore, it is applied in the production of inks, photographic chemicals, polyesters, electroplating, leather tanning, ceramics, building materials, crystals, and pharmaceuticals.
