They are installed on the blast furnace tuyere and primarily serve to connect the coal injection lance. When the coal injection lance is inserted into the blast furnace, these ball valves automatically open; when the lance is pulled out from the blast furnace tuyere, the internal steel ball automatically closes under the pressure of the blast furnace and its own gravity, effectively controlling the leakage of hot gas from the furnace.

For the connection between the coal injection lance and the ball valve, we have adopted a unique quick-connect coupling design. When the coal injection lance is inserted into the blast furnace tuyere through the inner hole of the ball valve's quick-connect coupling seat, the internal steel ball is lifted by the lance. The quick-connect coupling, fixed on the coal injection lance and sealed with packing, rapidly connects with the ball valve's coupling seat. This design not only enhances operational efficiency but also provides solid assurance for the stability and safety of the equipment.

The arc-swirl pulverized coal injection wheel we developed for blast furnace use features carefully planned designs for both the coal injection pipe and lance head. The specially designed spherical pulverized coal atomization disk at the top of the lance head, along with the airflow gap between the disk and the lance pipe end, allows the pulverized coal airflow to form an umbrella shape upon ejection, instantly mixing with the blast furnace hot air. This significantly improves the combustion rate of the pulverized coal and its mixing ratio with the blast furnace hot air.
