The advantage of the anode rapping hammer lies in its curved hammer arm design. As the rapping shaft rotates, the curved hammer arm closely follows the shaft's movement, maintaining a consistently small distance between the hammer head and the center of the rapping shaft. This prevents the hammer head from entering the effective discharge distance of the electric field, thereby avoiding discharge phenomena between the cathode line and the hammer head. Simultaneously, the torque required to lift the hammer head is significantly reduced, allowing for effective rapping results with lower-power rapping motors.
      Working Principle: The anode rapping hammer is a system designed to vibrate the electrode plates and limits to remove dust deposited on their surfaces. The shaft fastener of the anode rapping hammer consists of two components: a U-shaped clamp and a shaft card connected to the shaft. These two parts are welded together, with careful attention paid to ensuring the welded shaft fastener meets the required relative positioning. This ensures that the assembled rapping hammer strikes the intended location accurately. Typically, one rapping hammer is installed per row of electrode plates, with all hammers in the same electric field mounted on a single drive shaft. The hammers are staggered at different angles to allow alternating rapping of each row of plates. Both rapping intensity and frequency can be adjusted using appropriate electronic control devices.

       Rapping hammer heads are categorized by shape into over ten models, including Type A, Type B, and Type C hammers, with Type A being the most commonly used. The Type A hammer is also the simplest in structure. Depending on the application, Type A hammers are further divided into anode rapping hammers and cathode rapping hammers. Anode rapping hammers are generally larger than cathode rapping hammers; the former commonly use a hammer head with a diameter of 115, while the latter typically use a diameter of 90. Type A hammer heads are used in conjunction with clamping collars, which come in two varieties: with or without wear-resistant sleeves. The combination of the hammer head and clamping collar is collectively referred to as a Type A hammer assembly.

Rapping intensity is generally expressed as a multiple of the gravitational acceleration g (9.80 m/s2) generated perpendicular to the surface of the collecting electrode plate. Typically, the rapping intensity at various points on the electrode plate should be no less than 100–200g. However, the rapping intensity should not be excessively high; it should only be sufficient to leave a thin layer of dust on the plate surface. Excessive intensity can lead to increased secondary dust emission and accelerated structural damage.
