The NewRay Laboratory Ultrapure Water System is a water purification device for laboratory use, designed to remove all solid impurities, salt ions, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants from water through methods such as filtration, reverse osmosis, electrodialysis, ion exchange, and UV sterilization.
The NewRay Laboratory Ultrapure Water System is widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, chemicals, and biological and chemical laboratories. It typically produces both purified water and ultrapure water.
Working Principle of the NewRay Laboratory Ultrapure Water System
The system works by first pretreating tap water with precision filter cartridges and activated carbon cartridges to remove particles like sediment and adsorb odors, making the water cleaner. It then undergoes purification and desalination through a reverse osmosis (RO) unit. The purified water is stored in a tank and meets the national Grade 3 water standard, while the wastewater from the RO process is discharged. The RO purified water is further treated with a purification column for deep desalination to produce Grade 1 water or ultrapure water. If required, additional devices such as UV sterilizers, microfilters, or ultrafilters can be added to remove residual bacteria, particles, pyrogens, etc. The precision filter cartridges, activated carbon cartridges, RO membrane, and purification column all have limited lifespans. The precision and activated carbon filters protect the RO membrane; if they fail, the RO membrane’s load increases, shortening its lifespan. Continued operation under such conditions degrades water quality and increases the burden on the purification column, reducing its lifespan and raising overall operating costs.
