Welding Process and Material Properties

       Welding Process: Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding or oxy-acetylene welding is recommended. Preheating (350-500°C) and slow cooling after welding are required to reduce residual stress. Excellent weldability.

       Material Properties: 4104 aluminum brazing sheet is available in annealed (O temper) or half-hard (H14) conditions to meet different strength requirements. Homogenization annealing can be performed at 510-520°C for 4-6 hours, followed by air cooling to eliminate composition segregation. Rapid annealing can be done at 350-410°C for 30-120 minutes to improve processing plasticity.
