Isooctyl acetate is a colorless transparent liquid with a fruity aroma, serving as a high-boiling solvent that is poorly soluble in water. It is widely used in organic synthesis, coatings, plastics, fragrances, adhesives, leather, and other industries. It can also function as an excellent solvent in the synthesis processes of nitrocellulose and many natural resins.
