N,N-Dimethylpropionamide DMPA

Yintian N,N-Dimethylpropionamide DMPA features strong solvency, high flash point for safe use, moderate volatility, high stability, and resistance to discoloration. It exhibits excellent solubility for resins such as polyurethane, vinyl chloride-acetate copolymer, epoxy, polyester, polyimide, and acrylic. It is also used in water-based coatings and resin synthesis.

DMPA is superior to diethylformamide (DEF), methyl amyl ketone (MAK), N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), N-ethylpyrrolidone (NEP), dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether (DMM), tetrahydrofuran (THF), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), isophorone (783), cyclohexanone (CYC), dimethylformamide (DMF), dimethylacetamide (DMAC), butyl cellosolve (BCS, or ethylene glycol monobutyl ether), and γ-butyrolactone as an environmentally friendly new product. It has strong dissolving power for both polar and non-polar substances and serves as a powerful solvent for high-temperature resistant resin products, offering high cost-effectiveness.

Main Applications:

v Strong solvent for coatings, inks, and adhesives; performs well with polyurethane resins, acrylic resins, PU leather, shoe material treatment agents, and PU shoe material inks. In water-based polyurethane resin synthesis, it exhibits good solubility for chain extenders such as dimethylolpropionic acid (DMPA) and dimethylolbutyric acid (DMBA).

v Fiber and film: polar solvent for acrylic fiber, spandex, polyimide fiber manufacturing, ultrafiltration membrane production, polyimide films, fibers, acrylonitrile spinning; solvent for dicyandiamide curing agents in the epoxy copper-clad laminate industry.

v Cleaning and electronics: used in circuit board etching, LED photoresist and circuit boards, electronics, glass cleaning, and as a solvent for lithium-ion battery slurries.

v Pharmaceuticals and pesticides: reaction solvent for sucralose, pharmaceutical synthesis, pesticides, reagents, insect repellents, and as a solvent in biochemical synthesis or production.

v Others: used as a solvent, synthetic preservative, extractant; excellent solvent for LCD crystal synthesis, solvent for metal-organic framework material synthesis, solvent for new absorption refrigeration working pairs (R22-DEF), and widely applied in petroleum processing.
