FFKM (Kalrez) Perfluoroelastomer O-Rings

(I) Properties of Perfluoroelastomer:

FFKM (Kalrez) perfluoroelastomer is currently the best rubber material among all elastic sealing materials in terms of high-temperature resistance, strong acid and alkali resistance, and organic solvent resistance. Perfluoroelastomer can withstand corrosion from over 1,600 types of chemical solvents, including strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, ultra-high-temperature steam, ethers, ketones, esters, nitrogen-containing compounds, hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes, furans, and amine compounds. It can endure temperatures up to 320°C. FFKM perfluoroelastomer components have been used in various industries for nearly 40 years with proven practical application experience.

(II) Perfluoroelastomer Selection Guide:

Imported FFKM perfluoroelastomer raw materials meet customers' special sealing requirements under harsh working conditions. Due to the complex manufacturing process of perfluoroelastomer, only a few manufacturers worldwide produce perfluoroelastomer raw materials, such as DuPont's Kalrez (USA), 3M (USA), Daikin (Japan), and Solvay (Europe).

(III) Applicable Industries:

FFKM perfluoroelastomer seals are primarily used in semiconductor, chemical, automotive, petroleum, pharmaceutical, battery, and nuclear power industries under harsh working conditions.



(IV) Sealing Applications:

Due to the high cost of FFKM perfluoroelastomer raw materials, it is typically chosen for extremely harsh working conditions where other rubber materials cannot meet the sealing requirements. Under these conditions, other rubbers are prone to corrosion, swelling, dissolution, aging, and hardening, leading to seal failure. FFKM perfluoroelastomer, with its excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance, meets the demands of harsh sealing conditions while extending the service life of seals and reducing maintenance costs for customers.
