Concrete surface hardener is a water-soluble liquid chemical hardening agent, primarily composed of alkali metal silicates or modified silicates, with added catalysts and additives. It appears as a colorless transparent liquid and is available in both single-component and dual-component types^[1]. When applied to the concrete surface, it penetrates into the interior and reacts with calcium hydroxide to form silica gel, which blocks capillary pores, thereby increasing density, compressive strength, and wear resistance. This process can enhance the concrete strength by 15%-30%.
