Airport runway rapid slab replacement technology is primarily applied in areas such as main runways, taxiways, aprons, and supporting zones of airports, enabling the repaired areas to be reopened for use within 1-2 hours.

The high-performance rapid slab replacement material developed and produced by our company forms a dense structure after hardening, with high early strength, fast setting time, excellent bonding capability with concrete materials, and certain micro-expansion properties, along with good corrosion resistance. It is convenient for on-site use and suitable for rapid pavement repair and construction.

Main construction process:

① Marking and delineation: Select the area to be repaired. Vehicles, led by a guide vehicle, proceed to the construction area. First, carry out pavement protection (laying colored barrier sheets, etc.) and position the equipment. (Completed in 10-20 minutes)

② Demolition: Use two breakers and two excavators to remove the concrete slabs within the marked area, to full depth. Then use pneumatic hammers to chisel away any remaining concrete, ensuring uniform chiseling depth. Loose concrete around the edges and at the bottom of the pit must be thoroughly removed. Chiseling should proceed from the inside out to avoid edge spalling. (Completed in 50-60 minutes)

③ Cleaning: Use excavators to remove large concrete debris from the pit. Then use high-pressure air guns to clean cement fragments or dust from the sides and bottom of the pit. Rapidly remove the demolished concrete waste with garbage trucks. (Completed in 20 minutes)

④ Mixing: Calculate the amount of repair material needed based on the area to be repaired (calculated per individual pavement slab) to ensure continuous paving. Use 0.5-cubic-meter mixers; four mixers can prepare 2 cubic meters of material at once. First, dry mix the rapid slab replacement material components A and B in the mixer. After thorough mixing, add clean water, with the water-cement ratio based on the test report, and mix until uniform. Control the water-cement ratio carefully; the mixed rapid slab replacement material must not bleed water. (Completed in 50 minutes)

⑤ Paving: Before paving, lay colored barrier sheets around the pit to prevent material from contaminating the pavement. Then pour the uniformly mixed repair material into the pit and immediately compact it with a vibrator, paying attention to edges and corners to ensure dense filling. Avoid over-vibrating at any single location; stop when the concrete no longer sinks, no bubbles emerge, and a slurry appears. Level the surface with a screed and control the elevation. (Completed in 10 minutes)

⑥ Grooving: Use a grooving machine to create grooves based on the existing pavement conditions. (Completed in 20 minutes)

⑦ Joint cutting: About one hour after the final set of the curing material, cut expansion joints at the original transverse and longitudinal joint locations and inject sealant. In windy conditions, cover with plastic film for curing. (Completed in 20 minutes)
