Concrete anti-carbonation coating is a high-performance cement-based polymer composite modified by anti-carbonation emulsion. The emulsion contains a copolymer component that induces cross-linking reactions in the cement, forming an interpenetrating network structure of polymer and cement hydrates. This results in chemical and mechanical cohesion and adhesion, enhancing tensile and bonding strength. When applied to the concrete surface, it forms a strong bond, creating a high-strength, tough, and durable elastic protective coating layer that effectively prevents erosion from environmental carbon dioxide, chlorides, oxygen, seawater, acid rain, and other corrosive media on structural materials. This coating consists of two components: a high-performance polymer emulsion with various additives (liquid part, Component A) and modified cement-based materials (powder part, Component B). After curing, the coating becomes a new protective sealing material that combines the flexibility of polymer materials with the high durability of inorganic materials.

Application Scope

Widely applicable for anti-carbonation, anti-seepage, waterproofing, and anti-corrosion of reinforced concrete structures in water conservancy and hydropower, ports, tunnels, bridges, and other industrial and civil buildings to enhance structural durability. Examples include cooling towers, aqueducts, sluice gates, dams, bridges, reservoirs, sewage treatment tanks, and concrete poles. It offers excellent bonding strength and adhesion, allowing application on various building material surfaces; (2) resistance to atmospheric erosion and abrasion, with a service life of over 20 years under normal conditions; (3) excellent flexibility, which not only seals micro-cracks to prevent further expansion but also resists new cracking caused by concrete expansion and contraction, preventing water ingress; (4) good waterproofing and sealing performance, protecting structures from external rainwater erosion; (5) effective resistance to permeation of harmful gases such as carbon dioxide, oxygen, and salt spray, preventing concrete carbonation, and offering mild chemical corrosion resistance, blocking chloride ions and acid, alkali, and salt substances from penetrating concrete, thus preventing steel reinforcement corrosion; (6) as a water-based coating, it is odorless, non-toxic, and pollution-free.
