The fixed-wheel gate is a type of flat gate equipped with fixed wheels on its end beams as support and traveling components. It is primarily used in hydropower projects, municipal construction, agricultural irrigation, and other applications. The gate consists of a leaf frame, fixed-wheel support devices, rubber waterstop seats, and adjustable wedge-shaped pressing blocks. The entire structure adopts a welded steel plate construction, with the end beams designed in a double-web form. The main beams are inserted into the webs of the end beams to form a highly restrained welded connection, with maximum specifications reaching 10×10 meters.
The fixed wheels of this gate are made of ZG35CrMo material and undergo quenching and tempering treatment, achieving a tread hardness of 390-420 HBS. The height difference on the same side tread is controlled within ≤0.5 mm. During manufacturing, CO? gas shielded welding and submerged arc automatic welding processes are employed. The fixed-wheel supports are assembled after processing, and an 18-meter planer milling machine is used to finish the waterstop seat surface, ensuring flatness within ≤0.5 mm. The surface undergoes sandblasting for rust removal and hot-dip zinc anti-corrosion treatment, with a spraying distance of 100-200 mm and pressure ≥0.4 MPa, providing a service life of up to 30 years.
The leakage rate of the gate does not exceed 0.03 liters/second·meter. When subjected to high water heads, groove pulleys can be added to reduce frictional resistance. During installation, the flatness of the gate slot embedded parts must be controlled within ≤2 mm, and the main wheel tracks are fixed with secondary concrete. The sealing performance can be adjusted and restored using wedge-shaped pressing blocks.
