The composite material flap valve is a one-way valve device primarily made from non-metallic materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic. It is mainly used to prevent backflow from rivers and tidal waters, featuring corrosion resistance, lightweight design, and low operational resistance.
Structure and Working Principle
It adopts a double-hinge structure, automatically opening under water pressure and closing by the self-weight of the door panel. When the water pressure in the pipeline reaches a 6-meter head, the door cover can open at an angle exceeding 60°, driven by medium pressure to open and sealed by the weight of the door panel when closed.
Main Types
Floating box-type flap valve: Enhanced sealing with a built-in floating box, suitable for DN300-DN800 pipelines, requiring only a 0.06-meter water head to open.
Standard flap valve: Utilizes a hard water-stop sealing structure, ideal for infrequent operation scenarios with reliable sealing performance.
Material and Advantages
HDPE material: Resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, weighing only 1/4 of cast iron, easy to install, and maintenance-free.
Anti-theft design: Composite materials are non-recyclable, effectively preventing vandalism.
