[Product Properties] EDTA Sodium Ferric is a yellow powder, odorless and tasteless, with stable performance, soluble in water and acid.

[Scope of Application] EDTA Sodium Ferric is used as an additive in the food industry, widely used in food, dairy products, and other iron supplements. It can be used in: food, beverages, candy, solid beverages, jelly, soy sauce, baked goods, etc. In photography, it is used as a decolorizing agent. In agriculture, it is used as a trace element for foliar fertilizer, and in industry, it is used as a catalyst.

I. Application of Sodium Ferric Ethylenediaminetetraacetate (NaFeEDTA) in Fortified Foods:

1. Iron-fortified flour: As a basic raw material for flour products and baked goods, the iron content in general flour is very low, only 2.6～4.2 mg/100g. Fortifying flour with iron to produce iron-enriched flour improves product quality, ensuring stable, safe, and long shelf-life flour.

（1）The light yellowish-brown Sodium Ferric Ethylenediaminetetraacetate (NaFeEDTA) added to flour has no metallic iron odor, is not easily oxidized or discolored, and can avoid the hindrance of phytic acid, with a high absorption rate. According to China's GB14880-2012 standard, the iron fortification level in cereals and their products, calculated as elemental Fe, is 24～48 mg/kg, which is equivalent to 180～360 mg/kg of Sodium Ferric Ethylenediaminetetraacetate (NaFeEDTA).

（2）Sodium Ferric Ethylenediaminetetraacetate (NaFeEDTA) serves as an iron nutrient fortifier, promoting the absorption and utilization of iron and zinc. The advantages of Sodium Ferric Ethylenediaminetetraacetate (NaFeEDTA) also include avoiding the hindrance of phytic acid to iron absorption, high absorption rate, and minimal changes to the color and taste of food. It is used as an iron nutrient fortifier in flour products, dairy products, salt, soy sauce, and other foods.
