  The small molecular structure can penetrate cementitious surfaces, infiltrate into the concrete, and chemically react with air in acidic or alkaline environments and water molecules in the substrate to form a hydrophobic treatment layer, thereby inhibiting water from entering the substrate. It provides waterproofing, chloride ion resistance, UV resistance, and breathability. It effectively prevents deterioration caused by water seepage, sunlight, acid rain, and seawater erosion, such as corrosion, loosening, spalling, and mildew of concrete and internal steel structures, extending the service life of buildings. The protected substrate has good hydrophobicity and retains its original appearance. Alkaline environments, such as freshly poured concrete, stimulate this reaction and accelerate the formation of the hydrophobic layer.

Yunnan Silane Coating Product Applications:

Concrete anticorrosive silane coating is widely used in various reinforced concrete structures, such as commercial buildings (interior and exterior walls, roofs, and floors of high-end buildings), parking lots, garages, warehouses and cold storage, swimming pools, highways, bridge structures, ports and docks, marine engineering, etc. It is particularly suitable for high-grade concrete structures used in harsh environments, highways and overpasses affected by salt spray and deicing salts, utility poles, sewage treatment tanks in wastewater treatment plants, landfills, and plateau regions with extreme temperature variations. It is a product recommended by national concrete industry anticorrosion standards.

Surface Treatment

1. Repair obvious defects such as honeycombs and exposed aggregate with cement paste; remove surface debris and loose attachments with a steel scraper;

2. Thoroughly remove harmful substances and contaminants such as dust and oil stains;

3. When using release agents or curing agents, conduct spray tests to determine their impact on silane impregnation; otherwise, fully remove them before silane impregnation;

4. Do not spray silane impregnation during rain, strong wind, or direct intense sunlight;

5. Avoid contact between silane and other potentially corrosive materials such as neoprene and asphalt sealants;

6. The concrete surface temperature should be between 5°C and 45°C.

Silane Coating Application Method:

Before use, clean the substrate surface; all treated surfaces should be free of standing water, dirt, dust, oil stains, and other contaminants;

Apply using a sealed sprayer, roller, or brush. If using a brush or roller, reapply to keep the surface wet for several minutes; if using a sealed sprayer, continue spraying until the substrate is thoroughly penetrated. For vertical surfaces, spray from bottom to top, allowing runoff to reach 15–20 cm;

Before use, conduct an application test on each surface to be treated to ensure compatibility and achieve ideal waterproofing results.

Silane Coating Precautions:

This product is flammable and releases trace amounts of ethanol after curing. Observe safety precautions; do not expose to air. Ensure ventilation during storage and use, and keep away from sparks, heat sources, and open flames;

Exposure to water before use may cause it to solidify in the container;

Do not use on hydrostatic structures; avoid use at temperatures of 4°C or below, or above 40°C;

Avoid plants or shrubs at the construction site; take measures to protect untreated windows and other materials;
