The 5052 aluminum bar is primarily used for applications requiring high plasticity and good weldability, such as low-load components operating in liquid or gas media, including fuel tanks, gasoline or lubricant conduits, various liquid containers, and other small-load parts made by deep drawing. The wire form is used for rivets. It is also commonly employed in sheet metal parts for transportation vehicles and ships, instrument panels, street lamp brackets and rivets, hardware products, electrical enclosures, etc.
The 5052 aluminum bar belongs to the AL-Mg series and is a widely used type of rust-resistant aluminum. This alloy offers high strength, particularly in terms of fatigue resistance: it exhibits high plasticity and corrosion resistance, cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, maintains good plasticity during semi-cold working hardening, has low plasticity during cold working hardening, offers excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, poor machinability, and can be polished.
