Main Features

Nano niobium oxide is prepared by plasma vapor combustion method, featuring high purity, small particle size, uniform distribution, large specific surface area, high surface activity, and low bulk density. The vapor-phase preparation method overcomes the shortcomings of hard agglomeration, poor dispersion, and low purity of particles prepared by wet chemical methods in the market. With high purity and low impurity content, it meets the requirements of electronic-grade powder materials and can be used in fields such as electronics, alloys, optical glass, and coating for lithium battery cathode materials. 

Application Fields

1. Used as raw material for producing metallic niobium, niobium bars, niobium alloys, niobium carbide, conductive ceramic products, iron niobium compounds, optical glass, and lithium niobate crystals.

2. The rapid development of the electronics industry has highlighted the advantages of refractory metals (tantalum and niobium) as construction materials and functional materials. To meet modern quality standards, tantalum and niobium nanopowders should possess advanced physical and technical parameters and improved structures. Tantalum and niobium have unique and complex physical and chemical properties. Although these two metals share some similarities in certain characteristics, tantalum has other unique advantages, such as biocompatibility with human tissues. The electronics industry consumes about half of the global tantalum production annually, mainly in the form of tantalum powder and wire for high-tech applications, such as miniature capacitors used in telecommunications, memory card production, electronic design, medical implants, and automatic dust collectors. Nano niobium oxide can significantly enhance the battery's rate performance and cycle performance, with better chemical performance at high temperatures compared to undoped materials, and improved conductivity. Coating lithium iron phosphate materials with nano niobium oxide can inhibit changes in crystal structure and metal dissolution during discharge, alter the material's surface chemical properties to enhance its chemical performance, prevent or reduce direct contact between the material and the electrolyte, reduce reactions between the electrolyte and the cathode material, thereby improving safety, rate capability, and service life.

4. Doping and coating modification of lithium battery cathode materials with nano niobium oxide improve the structural stability of lithium cobalt oxide batteries under high cutoff potential through the synergistic effect of composite doping, thereby enhancing their usable power density. Coating modification further improves the conductivity and structural stability of lithium cobalt oxide batteries.
